# Paraform MCP

> Connect Paraform to Claude or ChatGPT, then ask about your roles, candidates, and hiring data while you chat.

The Paraform connector lets an AI assistant read your Paraform data while you chat. Recruiters and hiring managers use the same connector. When you sign in, Paraform checks your account and gives the assistant the tools for your role.

The connector acts as you, and it only reads. It can't submit, move, or reject candidates, and it can't message anyone.

## Which guide do I need?

| You are… | Your guide | The assistant can read |
| - | - | - |
| A recruiter on Paraform | [Recruiters](/mcp/recruiter/overview) | Roles you can work on, your CRM candidates, recommendations, and your Parascribe calls |
| A hiring manager or company admin on Paraform | [Hiring managers](/mcp/hiring-manager/overview) | Your company's roles, the candidates on them, and interview feedback |

If you are both, the assistant gets both sets of tools. Each tool acts as the matching role.

<Note>
  The connector is in early access, and access is by invitation. If your account isn't enabled yet, sign-in stops with an access message. Email [team@paraform.com](mailto:team@paraform.com) to ask for access.
</Note>

## Before you start

You need all of these:

* A Paraform account with access to the connector. Your guide lists the account requirements for your role.
* A Google account that uses the **same email address** as your Paraform account.
* Claude or ChatGPT, on a plan and workspace that let you add connectors or plugins. In Claude, use the web, desktop, or mobile app. Claude Code can't connect, because its sign-in flow uses a local callback that the Paraform Google sign-in doesn't allow.

<Warning>
  **The connector works only with a Google account.** Your Paraform email must be a Gmail address or a Google Workspace address. A Paraform email and password alone don't work. An email on another provider, for example Outlook or Microsoft 365, can't connect.
</Warning>

The server URL is `https://mcp-paraform.paraform.com/mcp`. You don't need it to connect from the directory listing.

## Sign in with Google

Google asks you to share your email address with Paraform. Paraform uses that email only to find your Paraform account. Paraform doesn't get your Google password, and it doesn't get access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data.

Paraform checks your access on every request. If Paraform turns off your access, the connector stops on the next request.

## Disconnect

* **Claude:** open **Settings** > **Connectors**, select Paraform, and select **Disconnect**.
* **ChatGPT:** open [ChatGPT Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins), select Paraform, and disconnect or uninstall it.

To cut access at once, also remove Paraform from the third-party connections in your [Google Account](https://myaccount.google.com/connections). If you only disconnect in the assistant, its last sign-in can stay valid for up to 1 hour.

## Your data

Paraform receives your Google email at sign-in, and the inputs the assistant sends with each request, for example search terms, filters, and IDs. Paraform doesn't receive your chat history, other messages, or files you upload to the assistant.

The assistant receives the Paraform data that answers your question. Your guide lists what that data can include. Your assistant provider handles that data under its own terms.

The [Paraform privacy policy](https://www.paraform.com/privacy-policy) explains how Paraform collects, uses, and keeps your data. The [Paraform terms](https://www.paraform.com/terms-of-use) also apply.
